Agricultural Water Bore – Bindoon
Bindoon, WA

The Challenge
Broadacre and horticultural properties throughout Bindoon require significant daily water volumes to sustain crop irrigation and livestock operations. Securing a high-volume supply in this area often requires penetrating deep below the upper weathered clays and gravels into dense, saturated fractured rock formations. The primary objective for this project was to establish a high-yielding, long-term commercial bore that could deliver exceptional flow rates without drawing down local water tables or pulling fine sand into the system.
Our Approach
Leveraging our 45-year historical data network across the Chittering and Bindoon shires, our team mapped out the surrounding aquifer depths to determine the optimal drill parameters. We deployed our specialised truck-mounted rig, utilising heavy down-hole pneumatic hammers to navigate through the tough underground strata. Throughout the process, our crew carefully logged the geological formations and monitored water inflows at key intervals to pinpoint the exact zones of maximum yield.
The Result
The drilling campaign successfully intersected a highly productive, clean water table, delivering an outstanding flow rate ideal for commercial agricultural use. We installed premium, heavy-wall PVC bore casing with precision-engineered slots to stabilise the hole and prevent fine sediment intrusion. Following an intensive high-pressure air lancing cleanout and flow recovery test, the bore was handed over fully developed and ready for high-capacity pumping setup.
